Jedn\u00fdm z be\u017en\u00fdch m\u00fdtov je: utopenie nie je v\u017edy smrte\u013en\u00e9. <a href=\"https:\/\/iris.who.int\/bitstream\/handle\/10665\/269525\/PMC2626470.pdf?sequence=1&amp;isAllowed=y\">Defin\u00edcia utopenia<\/a> je upraven\u00e1 tak, aby bolo jasn\u00e9, \u017ee utopenie je proces, nie v\u00fdsledok. V\u00fdrazy ako \u201esuch\u00e9 utopenie\u201c, \u201esekund\u00e1rne utopenie\u201c alebo \u201etakmer utopenie\u201c sa \u010dasto objavuj\u00fa v m\u00e9di\u00e1ch, ale s\u00fa zastaran\u00e9 a medic\u00ednsky nepresn\u00e9, preto je na\u010dase ich presta\u0165 pou\u017e\u00edva\u0165.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Kto sa utop\u00ed, a kde sa utopia?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pod\u013ea odhadov Svetovej zdravotn\u00edckej organiz\u00e1cie (WHO) zomrelo v roku 2021 v d\u00f4sledku utopenia <a href=\"https:\/\/www.who.int\/news\/item\/13-12-2024-drowning-deaths-decline-globally-but-the-most-vulnerable-remain-at-risk\">300 000 \u013eud\u00ed<\/a>, to znamen\u00e1 viac ako 30 os\u00f4b ka\u017ed\u00fa hodinu. Tento \u00fadaj nezah\u0155\u0148a okrem in\u00e9ho utopenie v d\u00f4sledku povodn\u00ed a neh\u00f4d vo vodnej doprave, ako je prevr\u00e1tenie lode alebo potopenie trajektu. V krajin\u00e1ch s vysok\u00fdmi pr\u00edjmami, ako je Austr\u00e1lia, sa po zapo\u010d\u00edtan\u00ed t\u00fdchto udalost\u00ed <a href=\"https:\/\/bmjopen.bmj.com\/content\/7\/12\/e019407\">zv\u00fd\u0161i miera utopenia o 40%<\/a>; v krajin\u00e1ch s n\u00edzkymi a stredn\u00fdmi pr\u00edjmami bude n\u00e1rast pravdepodobne e\u0161te vy\u0161\u0161\u00ed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.who.int\/teams\/social-determinants-of-health\/safety-and-mobility\/global-report-on-drowning-prevention\">Prv\u00e1 celosvetov\u00e1 spr\u00e1va WHO o stave prevencie utopenia uv\u00e1dza<\/a>, \u017ee deti do piatich rokov tvoria 24% v\u0161etk\u00fdch pr\u00edpadov utopenia na svete a \u010fal\u0161\u00edch 19% pripad\u00e1 na deti vo veku 5-14 rokov. Miera utopenia je trikr\u00e1t vy\u0161\u0161ia v krajin\u00e1ch s n\u00edzkymi a stredn\u00fdmi pr\u00edjmami, ktor\u00e9 z\u00e1rove\u0148 predstavuj\u00fa 92% v\u0161etk\u00fdch \u00famrt\u00ed v d\u00f4sledku utopenia. U mu\u017eov je pravdepodobnos\u0165 fat\u00e1lneho utopenia dvakr\u00e1t vy\u0161\u0161ia ako u \u017eien. U mal\u00fdch det\u00ed predstavuj\u00fa najv\u00e4\u010d\u0161ie riziko baz\u00e9ny a vodn\u00e9 plochy v okol\u00ed domova, zatia\u013e \u010do u dospel\u00fdch je riziko najvy\u0161\u0161ie vo vo\u013enej pr\u00edrode, v riekach, jazer\u00e1ch, priehrad\u00e1ch, na pl\u00e1\u017each a v mori.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u010co je pr\u00ed\u010dinou rizika a \u010do funguje ako prevencia utopenia?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Okrem veku, pohlavia a miesta sa na zv\u00fd\u0161enom riziku utopenia podie\u013ea aj mnoho \u010fal\u0161\u00edch faktorov. Patria medzi ne napr\u00edklad individu\u00e1lne zru\u010dnosti a spr\u00e1vanie, ako s\u00fa <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tandfonline.com\/doi\/full\/10.1080\/02640414.2020.1754724\">plaveck\u00e9 zru\u010dnosti<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S2212420918301869\">vstupovanie do povod\u0148ovej vody<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/bmcpublichealth.biomedcentral.com\/articles\/10.1186\/s12889-018-6256-1\">konzum\u00e1cia alkoholu<\/a>, alebo <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mdpi.com\/1660-4601\/19\/14\/8863\">zdravotn\u00e9 probl\u00e9my<\/a>, ktor\u00e9 m\u00f4\u017eu zvy\u0161ova\u0165 zranite\u013enos\u0165.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u010eal\u0161ie faktory sa t\u00fdkaj\u00fa samotn\u00e9ho vodn\u00e9ho prostredia: napr\u00edklad \u010di s\u00fa deti pod doh\u013eadom a \u010di existuj\u00fa z\u00e1brany, ktor\u00e9 br\u00e1nia <a href=\"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1016\/j.jsr.2019.09.006\">nechcen\u00e9mu pr\u00edstupu k vode<\/a>; pos\u00fadenie nebezpe\u010denstva a d\u00f4vera v zaobch\u00e1dzanie s nebezpe\u010denstvom, ktor\u00e9 je vlastn\u00e9 pr\u00edrodn\u00fdm vod\u00e1m; <a href=\"https:\/\/injuryprevention.bmj.com\/content\/early\/2025\/04\/04\/ip-2024-045565\">povedomie o vodn\u00fdch pr\u00fadoch<\/a>, siln\u00fdch pr\u00fadoch a skryt\u00fdch nebezpe\u010denstv\u00e1ch pod hladinou, ako s\u00fa naplaven\u00e9 kon\u00e1re v riekach; a tie\u017e \u010di sa \u013eudia rozhodn\u00fa pl\u00e1va\u0165 na str\u00e1\u017een\u00fdch miestach, ako s\u00fa verejn\u00e9 baz\u00e9ny s plav\u010d\u00edkmi alebo str\u00e1\u017een\u00e9 pl\u00e1\u017ee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Riziko utopenia ovplyv\u0148uje mnoho \u010fal\u0161\u00edch faktorov, ale na\u0161\u0165astie existuj\u00fa <a href=\"https:\/\/www.who.int\/publications\/i\/item\/preventing-drowning-an-implementation-guide\">prevent\u00edvne evidencie-based strat\u00e9gie<\/a>. Napr\u00edklad v Austr\u00e1lii sa v\u010faka legislat\u00edve o ohraden\u00ed baz\u00e9nov v kombin\u00e1cii so vzdel\u00e1vac\u00edmi a donucovac\u00edmi opatreniami podarilo <a href=\"https:\/\/onlinelibrary.wiley.com\/doi\/10.1111\/1753-6405.13124\">zn\u00ed\u017ei\u0165 po\u010det \u00famrt\u00ed det\u00ed v baz\u00e9noch o viac ako 50%<\/a>. Podobne programy v\u00fdu\u010dby plaveck\u00e9ho pre\u017eitia pre \u0161kolsk\u00e9 deti v Banglad\u00e9\u0161i preuk\u00e1zali svoju <a href=\"https:\/\/publications.aap.org\/pediatrics\/article-abstract\/130\/6\/e1621\/30315\/Cost-Effectiveness-of-an-Injury-and-Drowning?redirectedFrom=fulltext\">efektivitu<\/a> a v\u00fdrazne zn\u00ed\u017eili mieru detsk\u00fdch \u00famrt\u00ed v d\u00f4sledku utopenia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Z\u00e1kony, ktor\u00e9 vy\u017eaduj\u00fa bezpe\u010dn\u00e9 spr\u00e1vanie na lodiach a plavidl\u00e1ch, napr\u00edklad <a href=\"https:\/\/journals.plos.org\/plosone\/article?id=10.1371\/journal.pone.0196421\">nosenie z\u00e1chrann\u00fdch viest<\/a>, pom\u00e1haj\u00fa zni\u017eova\u0165 riziko utopenia pri cestovan\u00ed po vode. S\u00fa\u010dasne prebiehaj\u00faci v\u00fdskum utopenia, vr\u00e1tane vedenia a sk\u00famania <a href=\"https:\/\/bmcpublichealth.biomedcentral.com\/articles\/10.1186\/s12889-023-16392-2\">registrov utopen\u00fdch<\/a>, n\u00e1m pom\u00e1ha dozvedie\u0165 sa viac o tomto probl\u00e9me a n\u00e1js\u0165 lep\u0161ie sp\u00f4soby, ako mu predch\u00e1dza\u0165.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/papers.ssrn.com\/sol3\/papers.cfm?abstract_id=4046264\">Strat\u00e9gie na \u00farovni syst\u00e9mu (\u201es-r\u00e1mce\u201c)<\/a>, ako s\u00fa vy\u0161\u0161ie spomenut\u00e9 z\u00e1kony a predpisy, m\u00f4\u017eu pom\u00f4c\u0165 formova\u0165 bezpe\u010dnej\u0161ie spr\u00e1vanie celej popul\u00e1cie. Ak sa v\u0161ak tieto strat\u00e9gie skombinuj\u00fa s <a href=\"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.31234\/osf.io\/km5cd_v1\">intervenciami na individu\u00e1lnej \u00farovni (\u201ei-r\u00e1mec\u201c)<\/a>, ako je vzdel\u00e1vanie, spolo\u010densk\u00fd s\u00fahlas a \u0161kolenie zru\u010dnost\u00ed, m\u00f4\u017ee by\u0165 celkov\u00fd vplyv na prevenciu utopenia e\u0161te v\u00e4\u010d\u0161\u00ed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>V\u00fdskumy ukazuj\u00fa, \u017ee to, ako \u013eudia prem\u00fd\u0161\u013eaj\u00fa a c\u00edtia sa, hr\u00e1 ve\u013ek\u00fa \u00falohu v ich zdravotnom spr\u00e1van\u00ed, a to aj pokia\u013e ide o bezpe\u010dnos\u0165 v bl\u00edzkosti vody. Na to, \u010di niekto podnikne kroky na prevenciu utopenia, maj\u00fa vplyv napr\u00edklad sk\u00fasenosti z minulosti, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S0022437525000192\">presved\u010denie o v\u00fdhod\u00e1ch a nev\u00fdhod\u00e1ch bezpe\u010dnostn\u00e9ho spr\u00e1vania a d\u00f4vera v schopnos\u0165 kona\u0165<\/a>, pl\u00e1novanie, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S0022437524000951\">vn\u00edmanie rizika, spolo\u010densk\u00fd tlak a role, v ktor\u00fdch sa \u013eudia vidia<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Samotn\u00e1 znalos\u0165 princ\u00edpov udr\u017eiavania bezpe\u010dnosti vo vode nesta\u010d\u00ed na dlhodob\u00fa zmenu spr\u00e1vania. Preto by programy prevencie utopenia mali vyu\u017e\u00edva\u0165 osved\u010den\u00e9 psychologick\u00e9 strat\u00e9gie, aby do\u0161lo ku skuto\u010dnej zmene. Namiesto jednoduch\u00e9ho varovania pred nebezpe\u010denstvom sa mus\u00ed zamera\u0165 na pozit\u00edvne pr\u00ednosy bezpe\u010dn\u00e9ho pobytu, napr\u00edklad na bezpe\u010dn\u00fa z\u00e1bavu. Mali by tie\u017e uk\u00e1za\u0165, \u017ee bezpe\u010dnos\u0165 vo vode je be\u017enou s\u00fa\u010das\u0165ou \u017eivota, a to zapojen\u00edm priate\u013eov a rodiny. Budovanie d\u00f4very, obmedzovanie pr\u00edstupu na rizikov\u00e9 miesta a povzbudzovanie k tomu, aby si \u013eudia vytv\u00e1rali pl\u00e1ny a sledovali svoje bezpe\u010dnostn\u00e9 n\u00e1vyky, to v\u0161etko podporuje trval\u00fa zmenu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u010co m\u00f4\u017eeme urobi\u0165 pre zn\u00ed\u017eenie rizika utopenia?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Od roku 2000 sa celosvetovo zn\u00ed\u017eil po\u010det smrte\u013en\u00fdch utopen\u00ed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.who.int\/teams\/social-determinants-of-health\/safety-and-mobility\/global-report-on-drowning-prevention\">o 38%,<\/a> \u010do je ve\u013ek\u00fd \u00faspech. Pokrok v\u0161ak nebol v\u0161ade rovnak\u00fd. Niektor\u00e9 regi\u00f3ny, najm\u00e4 tie s men\u0161\u00edmi zdrojmi, st\u00e1le \u010delia ve\u013ek\u00fdm v\u00fdzvam vr\u00e1tane rast\u00facich riz\u00edk sp\u00f4soben\u00fdch zmenou kl\u00edmy a migr\u00e1ciou na mori. Aby sme mohli pokra\u010dova\u0165 v pokroku, potrebujeme praktick\u00e9 rie\u0161enia, ktor\u00e9 kombinuj\u00fa ako individu\u00e1lne (ako je zmena postoja k bezpe\u010dnosti vo vode), tak \u0161ir\u0161ie syst\u00e9mov\u00e9 zmeny (ako je lep\u0161ia infra\u0161trukt\u00fara a politiky). Do tohto \u00fasilia by sa mohlo zapoji\u0165 cel\u00fd rad z\u00fa\u010dastnen\u00fdch str\u00e1n, napr\u00edklad vl\u00e1dy, komunity, mimovl\u00e1dne organiz\u00e1cie a jednotlivci \u2013 ktor\u00e9 m\u00f4\u017eu v\u00fdznamne prispie\u0165 k prevencii utopenia tak na individu\u00e1lnej, ako aj na syst\u00e9movej \u00farovni.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Praktick\u00e9 odpor\u00fa\u010dania:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Presadzovanie pr\u00edsnej\u0161\u00edch z\u00e1konov, vzdel\u00e1vanie a presadzovanie pravidiel prevencie utopenia. Patria sem opatrenia, ako je <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mdpi.com\/1660-4601\/14\/12\/1450\">legislat\u00edva o oploten\u00ed baz\u00e9nov<\/a>, bezpe\u010dnostn\u00e9 normy a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S0022437525000192\">ozna\u010denie prenosn\u00fdch baz\u00e9nov<\/a> a z\u00f3ny bez alkoholu na rizikov\u00fdch miestach, ako s\u00fa pl\u00e1\u017ee a rieky. Znamen\u00e1 to tie\u017e presadzova\u0165, aby sa bezpe\u010dnos\u0165 vo vode stala s\u00fa\u010das\u0165ou \u0161ir\u0161ieho syst\u00e9mu, ako je v\u00fdu\u010dba pl\u00e1vania v \u0161kol\u00e1ch a bezpe\u010dnos\u0165 pri povodniach v syst\u00e9moch <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S0022437524000860\">postupn\u00e9ho z\u00edskavania vodi\u010dsk\u00fdch preukazov<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Propag\u00e1cia bezpe\u010dnosti vo vode so zameran\u00edm na to, ako o nej \u013eudia prem\u00fd\u0161\u013eaj\u00fa a \u010do c\u00edtia. Znamen\u00e1 to tie\u017e pom\u00e1ha\u0165 \u013eu\u010fom, aby sa c\u00edtili ist\u00ed v tom, \u017ee s\u00fa schopn\u00ed zosta\u0165 v bezpe\u010d\u00ed, napr\u00edklad aby sa vyh\u00fdbali jazde autom cez z\u00e1plavov\u00e9 vody, nosili z\u00e1chrann\u00e9 vesty pri plavbe na lodi a obmedzili <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tandfonline.com\/doi\/full\/10.1080\/00049530.2022.2029221\">konzum\u00e1ciu alkoholu v bl\u00edzkosti vody<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pl\u00e1novanie vodn\u00fdch aktiv\u00edt s predstihom. To znamen\u00e1, aby si \u013eudia pred odchodom premysleli bezpe\u010dnostn\u00e9 opatrenia, ako je balenie z\u00e1chrann\u00fdch viest alebo <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mdpi.com\/2073-4441\/14\/21\/3477\">vo\u013eba bezpe\u010dnej cesty domov pri povodniach<\/a>. Pripravenos\u0165 pom\u00e1ha predch\u00e1dza\u0165 utopeniu a udr\u017euje v\u0161etky v bezpe\u010d\u00ed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Urobi\u0165 z bezpe\u010dnosti pri vode be\u017en\u00fa s\u00fa\u010das\u0165 ka\u017edodenn\u00e9ho \u017eivota, napr\u00edklad nosi\u0165 z\u00e1chrann\u00e9 vesty, starostlivo str\u00e1\u017ei\u0165 deti a vyh\u00fdba\u0165 sa alkoholu v bl\u00edzkosti vody. Pokia\u013e je toto spr\u00e1vanie be\u017en\u00e9 a podporovan\u00e9 priate\u013emi a rodinou, dodr\u017eiava ich viac \u013eud\u00ed, \u010do zais\u0165uje bezpe\u010dnos\u0165 v\u0161etk\u00fdch.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pripome\u0148te si <a href=\"https:\/\/www.who.int\/campaigns\/world-drowning-prevention-day\">Svetov\u00fd de\u0148 prevencie utopenia<\/a>, ktor\u00fd pripad\u00e1 na 25. j\u00fala.
