Ini mencakup keterampilan dan perilaku individu\u2014seperti <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tandfonline.com\/doi\/full\/10.1080\/02640414.2020.1754724\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">kemampuan berenang<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1016\/j.ijdrr.2018.12.019\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">masuk ke area banjir<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/bmcpublichealth.biomedcentral.com\/articles\/10.1186\/s12889-018-6256-1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">konsumsi alkohol<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2014<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mdpi.com\/1660-4601\/19\/14\/8863\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">serta kondisi medis<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> yang mendasari yang dapat meningkatkan kerentanan.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Faktor lain berkaitan dengan karakteristik perairan itu sendiri: apakah anak-anak diawasi dan ada penghalang untuk mencegah <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1016\/j.jsr.2019.09.006\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">akses yang tidak disengaja<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">; penilaian terhadap bahaya yang ada di perairan alami dan keyakinan diri dalam menghadapinya; <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/injuryprevention.bmj.com\/content\/early\/2025\/04\/04\/ip-2024-045565\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">pemahaman tentang arus balik<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, arus deras, dan bahaya bawah air seperti akar pohon atau benda tersembunyi di sungai; serta apakah seseorang memilih untuk berenang di tempat yang diawasi seperti kolam umum dengan penjaga atau pantai yang dipatroli.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Masih banyak faktor lain yang mempengaruhi risiko tenggelam. Namun untungnya, terdapat <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.who.int\/publications\/i\/item\/preventing-drowning-an-implementation-guide\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">strategi pencegahan berbasis bukti yang terbukti efektif<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Misalnya, pengalaman masa lalu; <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S0022437525000192\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">keyakinan terhadap manfaat dan kerugian dari perilaku aman serta rasa percaya diri untuk bertindak<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">; perencanaan; <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S0022437524000951\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">persepsi risiko; tekanan sosial; dan peran yang seseorang lihat pada dirinya<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, semua memengaruhi apakah seseorang akan mengambil langkah pencegahan terhadap tenggelam.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Apa yang Bisa Kita Lakukan untuk Mengurangi Risiko Tenggelam di Masa Depan?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Secara global, angka kematian akibat tenggelam telah menurun sebesar <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.who.int\/teams\/social-determinants-of-health\/safety-and-mobility\/global-report-on-drowning-prevention\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">38% sejak tahun 2000<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, ini adalah sebuah pencapaian besar. Namun, kemajuan ini belum merata di semua tempat. Beberapa wilayah, terutama yang memiliki sumber daya terbatas, masih menghadapi tantangan besar, termasuk meningkatnya risiko akibat perubahan iklim dan migrasi melalui laut.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Untuk terus maju, kita membutuhkan solusi praktis yang menggabungkan perubahan di tingkat individu (seperti mengubah sikap terhadap keselamatan di air) dan perubahan sistem yang lebih luas (seperti perbaikan infrastruktur dan kebijakan yang lebih baik). Upaya ini dapat melibatkan berbagai pemangku kepentingan\u2014seperti pemerintah, komunitas, LSM, dan individu\u2014yang semuanya dapat memberikan kontribusi berarti dalam mencegah tenggelam, baik di tingkat individu maupun sistem.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Rekomendasi Praktis<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mendorong penerapan undang-undang, edukasi, dan penegakan hukum yang lebih kuat untuk mencegah tenggelam. Ini mencakup langkah-langkah seperti <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mdpi.com\/1660-4601\/14\/12\/1450\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">peraturan pagar kolam renang<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, standar keselamatan dan label untuk <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S0022437525000192\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">kolam portabel<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, serta zona bebas alkohol di lokasi berisiko tinggi seperti pantai dan sungai. Ini juga berarti mendorong agar keselamatan di air menjadi bagian dari sistem yang lebih besar, seperti pelajaran berenang di sekolah dan edukasi keselamatan banjir dalam <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S0022437524000860\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">skema surat izin mengemudi bertahap<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Meningkatkan keselamatan air dengan memperhatikan cara orang berpikir dan merasakannya. Juga penting untuk membantu orang merasa percaya diri dalam menjaga keselamatan, seperti menghindari mengemudi melalui banjir, mengenakan pelampung saat naik perahu, dan membatasi <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tandfonline.com\/doi\/full\/10.1080\/00049530.2022.2029221\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">konsumsi alkohol di sekitar air<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Merencanakan kegiatan di air sejak awal. Artinya, mengajak orang untuk memikirkan langkah-langkah keselamatan terlebih dahulu\u2014seperti membawa pelampung atau <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mdpi.com\/2073-4441\/14\/21\/3477\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">memilih rute pulang yang aman saat banjir<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Persiapan yang matang membantu mencegah tenggelam dan menjaga keselamatan semua orang.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Menjadikan keselamatan air sebagai bagian dari kehidupan sehari-hari\u2014seperti mengenakan pelampung, mengawasi anak-anak dengan cermat, dan menghindari alkohol di sekitar air.
