Esencialmente, con cambios en la forma en la que muchos de nosotros trabajamos, nos sentamos demasiado y esto ha demostrado ser negativo para nuestra salud. Por ejemplo, mucha gente va conduciendo hasta el trabajo, se sienta en su despacho la mayor parte del d\u00eda, conduce de vuelta a casa y se sienta en frente de la televisi\u00f3n o del ordenador la mayor parte de la tarde. El espacio de trabajo, por lo tanto, es apropiado para un cambio de comportamiento saludable. Pero con semejante comportamiento habitual como es el sentarte, normas sociales tan fuertes, as\u00ed como el dise\u00f1o ambiental que favorece menos el movimiento junto a confortables y gratificantes asientos, \u00bfc\u00f3mo podemos cambiar algo?<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>En primer lugar, es importante se\u00f1alar que sentarse menos no es simplemente la \u00fanica respuesta. Debemos esforzarnos para ayudar a la gente a moverse m\u00e1s a trav\u00e9s de la actividad f\u00edsica, preferiblemente de intensidad moderada-vigorosa. Pero adem\u00e1s, hacer una transici\u00f3n de amplios periodos donde estamos sentados a mayores vol\u00famenes\u00a0 de actividad f\u00edsica ligera resulta tambi\u00e9n importante. Esto puede comprender actividad ligera, tal y como levantarse de la silla y hablar a un compa\u00f1ero en vez de mandarle un email, utilizar las escaleras, o simplemente participar en diferentes reuniones de trabajo denominadas \u201ctransiciones de sentado a estar de pie\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Entonces, \u00bfqu\u00e9 podr\u00eda funcionar? Realizamos <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tandfonline.com\/doi\/full\/10.1080\/17437199.2015.1082146\">una revisi\u00f3n sistem\u00e1tica<\/a> de <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ucl.ac.uk\/health-psychology\/bcttaxonomy\">t\u00e9cnicas sobre cambio de comportamiento<\/a>, incluyendo aquellas en el espacio de trabajo. De las 38 intervenciones que revisamos, 20 fueron en el contexto del espacio de trabajo. Clasificamos 15 intervenciones (39%) como \u201cmuy prometedoras\u201d para el cambio comportamental. Intervenciones basadas en el cambio ambiental (p. ej., tener un escritorio para estar de pie), persuasi\u00f3n o educaci\u00f3n (p. ej., un seminario sobre los efectos saludables de sentarse y moverse en el trabajo) fueron las m\u00e1s prometedoras. El auto-registro personal (p. ej., completar un diario), solucionar problemas (p. ej., elaborar soluciones para la oficina) y reestructurar el ambiente social y f\u00edsico fueron t\u00e9cnicas particularmente prometedoras para el cambio de comportamiento.<\/p>\n<p>Para ayudar a la gente a sentarse menos y a moverse m\u00e1s en el trabajo, pero por supuesto seguir siendo productivo y estar centrado en la tarea, se ha vuelto popular el uso de escritorios que permiten estar de pie. El consejo es romper el tiempo sentado tanto como sea posible antes que estar de pie prolongados periodos de tiempo. En base a los resultados de nuestra revisi\u00f3n, por lo tanto, esperar\u00edamos que esos escritorios fueran exitosos en el cambio de comportamiento ya que suponen un cambio en el ambiente f\u00edsico. Sin embargo, a la vez, podemos necesitar proporcionar una educaci\u00f3n inicial sobre los beneficios, as\u00ed como el auto-registro personal. En un estudio donde no se proporcionaron estos escritorios, la herramienta de auto-registro personal que se proporcion\u00f3 no fue bien acogida y no se obtuvo el cambio comportamental que se buscaba. Esto sugiere tambi\u00e9n que en la implementaci\u00f3n pr\u00e1ctica, de estas t\u00e9cnicas de cambio comportamental, resulta tambi\u00e9n importante monitorizar, as\u00ed como encontrar una herramienta de auto-registro que sea aceptable para los participantes y que sea apropiada y oportuna en su feedback.<\/p>\n<p>Recomendaciones pr\u00e1cticas:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Animar a los responsables de las empresas a apoyar esfuerzos para sentarse menos y moverse m\u00e1s en el trabajo.<\/li>\n<li>Proporcionar educaci\u00f3n in-situ sobre moverse m\u00e1s y sentarse menos, preferiblemente con auto-registro personal del tiempo sentado (p. ej., a trav\u00e9s de un diario).<\/li>\n<li>Crear pol\u00edtica, o al menos normas sociales, que \u201cden permiso\u201d a los empleados a sentarse menos y estar de pie o moverse m\u00e1s en las reuniones.
